ABOUT THIS PAINTING
This small mixed media study—created with watercolour and coloured pencil—depicts a vibrant wildflower meadow in full bloom. The foreground bursts with rich colours, while soft, diffused light in the background adds depth and atmosphere.
Midway through the composition, delicate hints of fluffy white forms suggest dandelion clocks gently dispersing in the breeze.
The palette is carefully chosen: deep oranges enhance vibrant pops of turquoise—a signature combination that features frequently in my work. In reality, the colours are more vibrant than the photographs suggest.
Stylistically, the piece sits between abstraction and impressionism, created purely from imagination.
The painting is presented against a grey border and set within a wooden frame.
The painting comes with standard 2mm glass, with the option to upgrade to a UV acrylic screen for enhanced protection - learn more
