ABOUT THIS PAINTING

This intricate abstraction, while rich with identifiable elements, leaves room for personal interpretation. It captures a wintry scene with frosty tones of Payne's grey, indigo and umber. A cold, brooding sky dominates the composition, softened by subtle streaks of warmer light piercing through layers of stratocumulus. In the foreground, frost-coated bramble and hedgerows add texture and depth, completing the portrayal of a raw winter's day.

Photographing artwork with a delicate colour palette can be challenging, as the image captured may not fully convey the intricacy of the piece.

The painting is elegantly presented with a light grey border and set within a high-quality solid wood frame finished in a walnut stain.
