About the original artwork

This artwork came into being almost spontaneously. It portrays the silhouette of a young child. The interplay of the abstract and childlike patterns at the top conveys the child’s whimsical and imaginative state of mind while engrossed in play. Alternatively, one might interpret the child as attuned to a chaotic environment symbolised by the turned-away posture, suggesting a sense of sadness.
