About the original artwork

The primary objective of this piece was to explore the interplay of vibrant colours through abstraction. The original, created using acrylic and colour pencil, distinctly represents flowers, making it an abstraction rather than abstract art. Some argue that an “abstraction” retains connections to the physical world, while totally “abstract” art, in contrast, completely breaks away from reality.

Giclée

Giclée prints are highly esteemed and can be found in some of the world's most prestigious museums, art galleries and private art collections. They should be cherished and cared for just like an original piece of art. We strongly recommend purchasing giclée prints with the intention of framing them promptly to ensure optimal preservation. Given the delicate nature of the paint surface, even minimal handling can potentially damage the print. Therefore, it is advisable to entrust the handling to a professional framer. Additionally, it is important to note that all giclées have a natural tendency to curl. Prints at Schafernaker Art are sent flat in corrugated cardboard envelopes or boxes, and they are never rolled or sent in a tube. They are carefully protected in a cellophane sleeve and accompanied by a mountboard for added safety during shipping.
