About the original artwork
In Bali, I was fortunate to witness a breathtaking sunset on my birthday. It later inspired me to create this acrylic piece on canvas. The artwork depicts a cloudscape during monsoon season. I aimed to capture the perspective through the interplay of light across different cloud layers; from rugged cumulus formations to wispy cirrus. To enhance the impact of the piece, I employed expressive brushstrokes and vibrant neons.
Giclée
Giclée prints are highly esteemed and can be found in some of the world's most prestigious museums, art galleries and private art collections. They should be cherished and cared for just like an original piece of art. We strongly recommend purchasing giclée prints with the intention of framing them promptly to ensure optimal preservation. Given the delicate nature of the paint surface, even minimal handling can potentially damage the print. Therefore, it is advisable to entrust the handling to a professional framer. Additionally, it is important to note that all giclées have a natural tendency to curl. Prints at Schafernaker Art are sent flat in corrugated cardboard envelopes or boxes, and they are never rolled or sent in a tube. They are carefully protected in a cellophane sleeve and accompanied by a mountboard for added safety during shipping.
