About the artwork
During my time in Bali, I had the extraordinary opportunity to witness a mesmerising sunset on my birthday. This experience profoundly inspired me and prompted the creation of a series of paintings. This giclée print remarkably captures the original's array of vibrant neon colours. Once it is mounted and framed, this panoramic print will serve as a striking statement piece in any contemporary setting.
The artwork depicts a captivating cloudscape amidst the monsoon season. My primary objective was to convey a sense of perspective by skilfully manipulating the interplay of light across the diverse layers of clouds, ranging from rugged cumulus formations to delicate wisps of cirrus clouds. To further enhance the impact of the painting, I employed expressive brushstrokes with bright reflections across the turbulent Indian Ocean in Seminyak.
Giclée
Giclée prints are highly esteemed and can be found in some of the world's most prestigious museums, art galleries and private art collections. They should be cherished and cared for just like an original piece of art. We strongly recommend purchasing giclée prints with the intention of framing them promptly to ensure optimal preservation. Given the delicate nature of the paint surface, even minimal handling can potentially damage the print. Therefore, it is advisable to entrust the handling to a professional framer. Additionally, it is important to note that all giclées have a natural tendency to curl. Prints at Schafernaker Art are sent flat in corrugated cardboard envelopes or boxes, and they are never rolled or sent in a tube. They are carefully protected in a cellophane sleeve and accompanied by a mountboard for added safety during shipping.
