ABOUT THIS PAINTING
In Bali, I had the incredible opportunity to witness a breathtaking sunset on my birthday. The experience served as a profound inspiration, leading me to create a series of paintings, and this particular artwork is the largest among them so far. The piece portrays a captivating cloudscape during the monsoon season. My primary goal was to convey a sense of perspective by skillfully playing with light across the various cloud layers, ranging from rugged cumulus formations to wispy cirrus clouds.
The painting is intentionally dramatic, and I incorporated neon paint to add an intriguing element. Depending on the ambient light, it undergoes a noticeable transformation from "pastel skies" to a "moody glow," giving the impression of time passing within the artwork itself. To further intensify the painting's effect, I employed expressive brushstrokes and infused vibrant reflections across the choppy beach in Seminyak.
The vibrant painting, with its dominant violet and purple colour palette, would best suit a large, bright wall in a contemporary setting. A framing option has been suggested in the painting description above. Additionally, the artwork has been selected for a series of limited edition giclée prints, which typically increases the value of the original painting.
