ABOUT THIS PAINTING

In this small abstraction, I have endeavoured to recreate a sense of ice and winter, reminiscent of an arctic landscape observed from 100,000 feet or higher. As you explore the artwork, you will discover canyons and glaciers subtly etched into the composition. Utilising a combination of acrylic paints, volcanic rock, and sand, I carefully constructed this piece, utilising colours that evoke beauty of the frozen North.

Ideal for a well-lit area with ample natural daylight as this artwork's appearance undergoes transformations depending on the time of day and the weather conditions. The blue and turquoise glazes, in particular, exude vibrancy as light reflects off the textured surface. In dim lighting, the painting takes on a more opaque quality.

It is important to note that capturing the true colour palette of physical artwork can be challenging for computer screens. Blues and greens, in particular, may vary significantly across different monitors, smartphones, and even various applications like Instagram versus a webpage. To gain a more comprehensive understanding, I recommend reviewing the photos on multiple platforms to obtain an "average" representation.

The photos have been captured under diverse lighting conditions to provide a glimpse of the artwork's variation.
